The Composition of Label Paper
Good Quality Label Paper is the main body of printing. Usually there are different types such as self-adhesive labels, continuous labels, and washed cloth labels. They are also the part with more material changes. Labels of different materials have different printing characteristics. The label paper is mainly composed of a mandrel, a backing paper, a face paper, a positioning mark, and a tearing line.
The function of the mandrel is to wind the Good Quality Label Paper on its outside, and at the same time fix the label paper roll on the label holder of the barcode printer. The inner diameter of the mandrel is usually 3in (76mm), which is mainly used for commercial and industrial barcode printers. The High Performance Label Paper of desktop barcode printers usually has an inner diameter of 1.5in (38mm).The specification of the inner diameter of the mandrel is not too strict, as long as it can be installed on the label holder. The backing paper is the carrier of the self-adhesive label, and its width is slightly larger than that of the self-adhesive label. The material of the backing paper requires better light transmission, mainly for label positioning. Some Best Selling Label Paper such as clothing tags, tickets, etc. generally do not use self-adhesive labels, so there is no backing paper. The role of the positioning mark is to provide corresponding positioning information for the barcode printer to print the label. There are two main types of marks: transmissive and reflective marks.Transmissive marks such as gaps between self-adhesive labels, jagged edges, round holes, etc.Reflective marks such as black marks, etc. Continuous labels usually have no positioning marks. Some High Performance Label Paper have a tear-off line so that the label can be torn off directly after printing.
